About constellations

What are family constellations?

Family Constellations is a therapy method created by German psychoanalyst Bert Hellinger, with the goal of exposing disorders in a family system and freeing its members from loyalties and systemic burdens that have been passed down from generation to generation.

A family constellation is a therapeutic method that allows us to connect with the deepest part of our unconscious to reveal the connection between the untold stories of our family of origin's past and what is happening to us in the present. Its goal is to heal and resolve conflicts, creating a greater level of awareness, acceptance, and self-growth.

In family constellations, we identify the bonds we have, the inherited rules, beliefs, fears, and limiting behaviors that not only influence the way we relate to others and ourselves, but also unconsciously determine our destiny. Anything that hasn't been resolved within our family is projected onto some area of our present life.

It's like turning on the light in the darkness and seeing what is hidden, what exists, what is, what is truly blocking and entangling us in the present time and time again, and then, consciously, giving it space, presence, and healing.

These sessions can be conducted individually or in groups. In both cases, we use symbolic representatives: in one case, with figures such as Playmobil, Pac-Man, and templates; in another, with real people representing family members or the situation being addressed.
